Absentee Bidding Directions
Absentee bidding permits you to bid on an auction item if you are not available to personally attend the auction. The team at Jones Auction Service strongly recommends that you or a personal representative preview and inspect the item prior to bidding, but if this is not possible, we will accept your absentee bid under the following terms and conditions of our absentee bidding policy:
If you would like to browse through the absentee items and place a bid, it's easy to do. Here's how:
- Once you are logged in as a registered user, carefully look over the item listing. Be sure you really want to buy this item before you place a bid.
- Enter your maximum bid in the box at the bottom of the page and then click the Review Bid button.
- Click the Place Bid button. That's it! Jones Auction Service will now bid on your behalf up to the maximum amount you're willing to pay for that item.
You'll get an email confirming your bid. If you are the highest bidder at the end of the listing, you'll receive another email indicating you've won the item with an explanation of the next steps.
